Richard S. De Witt has woven together successful careers in business, the military and ministry earning praise and appreciation from all groups. For more than 30 years he was a business executive; during two of those decades he was a United States Air Force Reserve senior line officer leading more than 1,100 military men and women.
However, De Witt has achieved his greatest significance through his faith and in his family as he married his longtime sweetheart Marvel Young of Lancaster, New York, in 1968. For the past 47 years they have shared life together as “soul mates,” serving God and blessing man.
They had two children; son Kurt and daughter Amy. In their marriage they have known much joy and great sorrow. Tragedy struck their family on August 14, 1997, when a drunk driver took the life of their 26-year old son.
In 2002, after selling his company, Jack Frost De Witt Food Brokers, Inc. of Buffalo, New York, to his partner, Dick felt led of God to full time ministry and was licensed and ordained as a Minister of The Gospel.
